DOGS IN NEED!!!!
*Buster's Story*... My name is Buster......it isn't the first name I've had but it is the one that comes with the best memories so I'd like to keep it. One day my human drove me to an unfamiliar neighborhood....I couldn't run fast enough to catch up as he sped away. I spent the next several days approaching every car and home hoping for a familiar scent but nothing! Now very hungry I spotted a human sitting in his car in his driveway. Dare I approach!!The gentleness in his voice told me this was someone I could trust so not wanting to miss the opportunity I quickly jumped in his car and licked his face in a gesture of my appreciation. I spent several days with him, his wife and other dogs. I got lots of food and plenty of pets and I felt safe there.I wish I could have stayed but with other pets to care for the search began. I am a young 1 yr old guy and it was obvious that I was never taught any manners. I have a lot of energy and love to jump up and try to give you kisses and at my size that can be intimidating to some people. An opening was available at a training facility where I was to spend the next several months. Unfortunately, I did not care for the demands placed upon me during the training process and was sadly deemed unpredictable when I failed to meet their expectations. I didn't mean to be a naughty boy but you see.....I was abused as a younger dog and was most likely being trained to fight. One injury was so severe that I lost my right eye so I don't trust all humans and that setting just didn't bring out the best in me. Remember that guy in his car that I told you I could trust? I WAS RIGHT!!! Through their love and determination I now have a new home at a sanctuary called Smiling Dog Farms in Wharton, Texas. I reached my destination thanks to a terrific pilot and his friend who flew me the 8 hour trip. They say I can live out my life here in peace along with the many other animals on their property. I'm happy to be here, the people are nice and I feel safe once again. No one knows her name or where she came from but someone did care enough to offer her help! On the evening of July 13th a Tampa Police Officer pulled his cruiser over when he noticed the frail figure of a dog in the dark. In her condition the officer knew he could not leave her there and his only option would have been to contact animal services but that was not to be her fate on that evening. A Lost Angel’s volunteer/foster happened by and it was an easy decision one that would offer this girl a second chance at life. Her recovery will be long and her medical needs costly so a donation of any amount would be greatly appreciated. WOULD YOU LIKE TO NAME HER AND WIN A $100 PUBLIX GIFT CARD?
