Who We Are

Welcome to Lost Angels Animal Recue, Inc. in Tampa, Florida. We have always been at the forefront of supporting no-kill shelters here in the local Tampa-St. Petersburg area.

For several years, Lost Angels has helped dogs in need by saving them from shelters that do not yet support the no-kill philosophy. Once we rescue the dogs from this fate, we foster them until they are ready for adoption by the general public.

Many of the dogs we save are abandoned at shelters because families are too busy and think the dogs have become burdens they cannot manage. It is quite unfortunate because many of the dogs we place for adoption are very loving and just asking for attention.

Lost Angels depends on a small, dedicated staff of founders and volunteers to care for over 600 pets that come through our doors each year. Please visit our website often for the most up-to-date information on dogs available for adoption. Or send us an email to inquire about any of our Angels.

The staff of Lost Angels will respond to each email inquiry. However, some senders are unable to receive our responses due to software that blocks unknown email. Children's email addresses are particularly sensitive to being blocked. If you do not receive a response to your email, please don't hesitate to call us.

Funding

As a 501(c)(3) as well as a no-kill group, Lost Angels is funded by private donations and fund raising events, and receives no local, state or federal funding. All of our funding comes from donations from individuals who want to help companion animals.
