Bastian's story is a heartbreaking one. He lived alone in the backyard of his owner's home and his only interaction with them was when they would go out back to put food for him. He had a skin condition that they were afraid may have been contagious so they never touched him and sadly never took him to a vet to be treated.

They really weren't sure how old he was, but said they had had him for three years. His condition had been left untreated for so long that he had mutilated himself by scratching and chewing. After all basic treatment showed little improvement, bloodwork would show that Bastian not only had food but environmental allergies as well. After months of treatment he has shown great improvement but will require a lifetime of medications, medicated baths, and special diet.

Lost Angels will make sure that Bastian is well cared for, has a good quality of life and plenty of hugs, ear scratches and kisses for the rest of his life.

Isana is a beautiful 6-year-old female German Shepherd that suffers from perianal fistulas. She came to us from a high-kill shelter in horrible condition and at first we struggled with the decision to put her down. We are happy that we made the choice to give her a fighting chance and although it took several months to recover from pneumonia and the worse case of perianal fistulas that our vets have ever seen, she showed great courage courage and will to survive.

There is no cure for her condition but it can be managed on a special diet and two medications daily which she will require for life. Due to the severity of her condition, when she arrived she sees a dermatologist at Blue Pearl every six months. Our goal is to provide Isana with the best care so that she can continue to have a wonderful quality life.

Jena is a 2-year-old female Min Pin that weighs 7 pounds. Sadly, her owner fell ill and had to give her up so that a new loving home could be found for her. She has a very sweet and loving personality. She enjoys being close to her humans and enjoys the company of other dogs. Cats are fun to bark at. Jena was recently diagnosed with Addison's Disease and will require life-long medications of Percorten and Prednisone, which do require a monthly visit to a veterinarian.

My name is King and I was the companion of a Veteran with PTSD for the first two years of my life. My owner could no longer care for me and had to give me up. It was a very hard transition for me as I do get very attached to people, but my foster family is really nice and I am now a happy boy. I have been in foster care for over three years now. I even live with two Chihuahuas I just leave them alone though as they are kind of cranky. I am a loving dog and want to please my master. I am very smart, but can be stubborn. I am very excited when I meet new people. I need to meet new dogs slowly, as it takes me some time to get used to them.
